SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The ‘La Chasnera’ petrol station, situated at kilometre 54 of the highway in southern Tenerife, within the municipality of Granadilla, did not disappoint in the Christmas Draw. Although it did not receive the top prize this year, it did secure four prizes that collectively amount to just over 1.5 million euros.
Specifically, they sold 19 tenths of 11,846, which is one of the third prizes worth 950,000 euros; another 27 tenths of 77,768, a fourth prize yielding 540,000 euros; a single tenth of 48,020, which was also a fourth prize; and an additional seven of 74,778, a fifth prize that totalled 42,000 euros.
The so-called ‘Lucky Petrol Station’ has been awarded prizes for eleven consecutive years, and this year, the business group has also distributed a fourth prize in Arafo. Furthermore, on Saturday evening, the same municipality saw another 1.2 million euros awarded in the La Primitiva draw.
As is customary each year, the owners and staff of the González Canarias Group convened at the petrol station, accompanied by chants like “it rains and it rains and it rains again, the prizes in Chasnera, over and over again” or “what a boat, what a boat, let La Chasnera go”.
Its manager, José González, expressed his delight to the media about the continued distribution of millions after a challenging year, highlighting the strong loyalty of his workforce and the fact that their numbers are now recognised all over Spain since many visitors to Tenerife no longer leave without securing their ticket.
