SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 16 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Department of Public Works of the Government of the Canary Islands, via the General Directorate of Road Infrastructure, has officially approved Modified Project No. 1 for the enhancement of the Paredes-Alajeró-Airport route on the island of La Gomera, with an additional budget of 2.5 million euros, including IGIC.
The sanctioning of Modified No. 1 will facilitate the continuation of work on this road to address issues concerning waste and archaeological locations, among various other technical considerations.
In this context, the general director of Road Infrastructure, Rosana Melián, articulated that this initiative “will not only enhance the initial conditions of the roadway, but will also significantly boost road safety, particularly in the hazardous curves of the existing layout.”
The Paredes-Alajeró-Aeropuerto highway scheme was awarded under the Highway Agreement, aimed at improving safety standards, the route, and the redesign of road junctions.
