SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 14th Oct (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife is set to allocate 252,373.08 euros towards the enhancement of the Casa del Ganadero, a property owned by the island institution located in the municipality of La Laguna. This initiative encompasses the development of the parking area, along with upgrades to the section of the facility designated for livestock events.
The Livestock House serves as a hub for the technical-administrative offices pertaining to the Livestock and Fishing department of the Cabildo, and it also hosts various livestock events, including exhibitions, drag competitions, fairs for livestock products, and summer camps, among other activities.
As noted by the Minister for the Primary Sector, Valentín González, “the current state of the facility necessitates a series of measures to provide it with the required infrastructure to effectively perform its functions, as well as enhance some existing features.”
“The identified needs focus on improving the entrance and parking area, equipping it with canopies to shelter vehicles, and implementing a drainage system for stormwater to prevent flooding,” he elaborated.
In the site designated for livestock events, various improvements will be undertaken, such as levelling two platforms (esplanades) to facilitate the installation of temporary tents during exhibitions or livestock activities, expanding the stands in the current drag area, which will also include a shading structure, upgrading the loading dock, and creating a designated parking space for trucks.
Plans also include the construction of retaining walls in various sections of the property, installation of metal railings to enhance public safety, partial enclosure of one edge of the premises, and setting up power and water outlets.
