Vilaflor Unveils Innovative ‘Smart’ Forest Monitoring Trial

The Council of the Island of Tenerife is set to trial its innovative intelligent forest monitoring system at one of its fire observation towers, Los Topos, located in the municipality of Vilaflor. This was declared on Wednesday by Rosa Dávila, the president of the Island Corporation, alongside the third vice president, José Carlos Acha, during a press briefing regarding the agreements made by the Government Council. This represents a further advancement in the previously announced rollout of the so-called Intelligent Emergency Management System (SIGE), aimed at preventing and addressing natural catastrophes and safeguarding the population of the Island.
