The maximum term of the works will be 14 months, although Conrado Domínguez expects it to be reduced to one year.

The mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, stated that “today (yesterday) is a historic day for El Rosario, because after a wait of 14 years the Villa de La Esperanza will have a medical center as its citizenship deserves». In addition, he announced the upcoming making available to the Ministry of Health of the plot adjacent to the new Health Center, with an area of about 1,015 square meters, to increase health services and that in the future they can serve another series of specialties.

More features

«We are already planning the municipality of the future and that, in the health field, implies being able to have greater autonomy quotas with rehabilitation services, 24-hour emergencies or specialties in mental health, which will decongest the large hospitals on the island or the center doctor of San Benito, in La Laguna, where currently the population of the upper area of El Rosario has to move, “explained Gil, who acknowledged the vice president of the Canary Islands, Román Rodríguez, the inclusion of the cost of this work in the budget of this anus.

They agreed to highlight that this achievement “exceeds the acronyms”, iThe mayor decided to say that they felt “doubly happy” after “waiting almost 14 years for this health center.”

After the presentation of the work project, the mayor of El Rosario and the director of the SCS, accompanied by the first deputy mayor and the councilor for Health of the Consistory, visited the two plots in which the office will be executed and its future expansion, both located on La Sardinera Street, a road that Escolástico Gil said “will be the administrative center of the municipality.”

Current attendance

Currently, health care in El Rosario is provided at the San Isidro Health Center, which serves 898 children and 6,618 adults with individual health cards, as well as at the La Esperanza office, included in the Basic Health Zone of Laguna -San Benito, according to the current Primary Care Health Map, with 404 children and 4,284 adults.

The San Isidro Health Center is located in a spacious and functional building, of recent construction, that covers the assistance needs of the area.
