Candelaria invests 800,000 euros in providing work for 54 local unemployed people

The mayor of Candelaria, Mari Brito, together with the councilors of the Government Group, welcomed this Tuesday the 54 unemployed people who are part of the Comprehensive Plan of Employment of Canary Islandsyes that has begun in the municipality. This staff will carry out their work in various areas of the Villa Mariana City Council.

Mari Brito referred to the fact that this project is a decided commitment “for employ the most vulnerable people in our municipality». To this end, he explained that the City Council has increased, compared to previous years, the municipal contribution for this type of initiatives, so that on this occasion it now has 550,000 euros available. For its part, the Canarian Employment Service, financed by the State Public Employment Service, contributes 337,642 euros to the Plan, so the project has 887,000 euros for its development.

One of the aspects that councilor Candelaria explained is that this year the Candelaria City Council will manage almost four million euros in terms of employment through projects and subsidies, as is the case of the Canarian Comprehensive Employment Planto which are added four Training Programs in Alternation with Employment (PFAE), Get involved or Vocational training for Employment.

The people hired in the current Comprehensive Employment Plan will work for periods of six, 10, 11 and 12 months in various services and areas of the municipal Corporation. The professional profiles hired are adjusted to the needs of the administration, such as administrators, maintainers of buildings and sports facilities, janitor, foreman, bricklayers, painters, locksmiths, carpenter, public works laborers, street and building cleaning workers, agricultural manager , sociocultural monitors, community animators and tourist information technician.
