SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 9. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Saturday, La Concepción Square hosted the first day of activity of the fifth edition of the Lagunera Adoption Fair. The formula for this event repeated the success of previous years’ attendance on its first day of activity, thanks to the involvement of nearly twenty entities that work for animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.

The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, was present at the inauguration of this event “which not only helps promote adoptions and collaborations of citizens with these associations that work in the municipality, but also promotes awareness and citizen reflection about of the responsibilities that a person assumes when they welcome a dog or cat into their home.

The first day of activity of this Fair included information tents from the entities, food collection points, family workshops and parades under the motto ‘In Adoption’. These initiatives will also be available this Sunday, December 10, along with informative talks that will address, among other issues, the new Animal Welfare Law and the most important points to take into account.

The entities present at this Adoption Fair have been Brigada Animalista, Sueño Gatuno, Valle Colino, Equino Sentido, SOS Felina, SOS Peludos, Sano ya Salvo, Canarionejos, Carlinos Canarias, Labradopta, Defensa Animal Tenerife, El Club de la Huella , Menudos Peludos, The Enchanted Valley, In Situ Canarias, Apanot, Valkiria, Lindo Gatito Adopción and Neko.
