For all these reasons, those affected were offered an alternative through the Prohogar Program for an affordable rental in two other municipalities as there was no housing available in Buenavista. As confirmed by the regional Executive, the six families that are in a situation of recognized vulnerability have accepted it, three of them in Los Realejos and another three in San Juan de Rambla.
There is another that has made it clear that it does not want to change municipalities, which was presented with the option of taking advantage of line 3 of the Canary Islands Housing Plan, through which it is granted a subsidy for rent, for one year, extendable. , 900 euros plus 200 euros for supply. Of the remaining ones, two are not vulnerable and two others have not presented documentation.
But those affected assure this newspaper that only two families have a key to their new house, where they do not have water or electricity “and the rest of us are waiting because they have not called us even though we signed a document to give us a home.” . Likewise, and according to the information provided to them by their lawyer, they add that the Prohogar program requested a postponement until December 31 “because they are still looking for an alternative accommodation.”
