The stage that will host the Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2024 Carnival contests, whose theme will be “Television”, was presented this Monday. The Lagunero Nareme Melián has been in charge of creating the scenery that will be installed in the Fairgrounds, where the numerous protagonists of each of the acts of the great chicharrera festival will pass, which will take place between January 12 and February 18 .

The presentation ceremony, which took place at 10:00 a.m., at Casa del Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Aguere, 17), was attended by the mayor of the capital, José Manuel Bermúdez, the councilor for Festivals, Javier Caraballero, the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, and the set designer himself, Nareme Melián. The latter was the author of the Carnival poster in the 2018 and 2023 editions.

The 2024 Carnival calendar will begin on January 12 with the traditional Presentation of the Candidates. The Children’s Queen will be known on Sunday, January 28 and the older one, three days later, on Wednesday, January 31. The Carnival Queen Election Gala will be held on Wednesday, February 7; which will give rise to the development of celebrations in the streets of the capital until February 18, Piñata Sunday.
