The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands has awarded, through the Canary Islands Housing Institute (ICAVI), the contract to build a new development of 65 officially protected properties in the San Antonio neighborhoodin the orotava.

The ICAVI has signed the contract with the company Construplan Construcciones y Planificación SL for a total amount of 7,483,617.52 euroswithin the framework of the Housing Plan Canary Islands 2020-2025.

This group of properties will be built in a area of 3,393.11 square metersand will be distributed in two collective housing buildings four stories high, organized into two portals each, with their corresponding stairs, independent elevators, garage and storage rooms.

Both buildings will have a total of 32 and 33 homes, respectively, with up to four bedrooms. Likewise, the project includes two houses reserved for People with Reduced Mobility (PMR) and a supervised apartment, the Executive reports in a note.

Each building has a water tank against firesas well as two supply tanks, one for each portal, with their corresponding hydrocompressors.

In addition, the properties comply with the Technical Building Code (CTE) in terms of energy efficiencyas they are equipped with solar panels for the production of hot water and thermal insulation throughout its surroundings.

This new development joins another batch of 65 homes already built in the same municipality and which was delivered to the plaintiffs in 2015, with the aim of continuing to expand the public housing stock in the archipelago.
