white perezIsland Councilor for the Natural Environment, Sustainability, Emergency and Security of the Cabildo de Tenerife, has revealed that the Aguamansa channel “has returned to break“, getting serious risk the distribution of water to various points of the Island.

Speaking to Canarian Television, Pérez acknowledged that it is “the worst news” that “we will give today” in relation to the fire in Tenerife: “During the night there has been a hot spot, but the biggest problem is that the Aguamansa channel has broken again. The operators will agree with the fire brigade to see if it is repairable, because the situation is delicate”.

Pérez stressed that the Aguamansa canal supplies water to “a good part of the northern municipalities” up to Rosario, including part of Santa Cruz and La Laguna: “With the water problem we have on the island, the news is even worse.” .
