He Town Hall of La Orotava will invest 1,250,000 euros of its own funds in the construction of a new urban park in the area of Los Trazos, next to CEIP Ramón y Cajal. With 9,300 square meters of surface, this green area it will be 55% larger than the park inaugurated in Opuntia in 2020. When it is finished, it will be one of the largest green areas in the Villa, only surpassed by the 10,000 square meters of the El Bosquito recreational area and by the Dona Chana Cultural Parkwith about 13,467 square meters.
The village mayor, Francisco Linares; the councilor of Urbanism, Narciso Perezand the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Daisy Ramos, presented this Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the plenary hall, a project that will mean a significant change in model compared to the last actions carried out. The project has been delayed due to complications in making the orotavense city council of the land needed for the works. The orography of the land, with a significant slope, has made it necessary to conceive a park with different levels, marked by trails, paths and viewpoints.
