More of 3,700 hectares destroyed by fire in one of the worst fires recorded in Tenerife. To fight against the lack of control of the flames, troops on the ground and in the air have been working tirelessly since last Wednesday morning.

Forest brigades, firefighters and UME join forces to face this nightmare that has the Island with a heavy heart and, since the start of the flames, images of the fire have circulated in social networks.

Neighbors, institutions, technical managers and politicians share through the internet the bleak landscape that can be appreciated by the progress of the fire in Tenerife. So has the Air Force, which this Friday has shared the complicated flight that one of its seaplanes must make to Tenerife to attack the flames.

In the publication, the agency reports that during the day of this Thursday five Air Force planes worked on various forest fires declared in the national territory, among which is the one declared last Wednesday in Arafo and that already affects other eight municipalities of Tenerife.

For this Friday they are expected to intervene 14 or 15 air means, as well as 260 troops from various bodies work on the ground, dand of which 225 are effective intervention.

It must be taken into account that the 17 aerial means working on the fire they cannot do it simultaneously, but rather they fly about five at a time, according to the indications of the air resources coordinator, based on the requirements of the land resources.
