
The reform of the urban crossing of the TF-226, known as El Sol street, in La Esperanza is advancing in its phase I, planned as one of the main stages of the intervention. The Highway Councilor of the Cabildo de TenerifeDámaso Arteaga, and the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, visited the progress of the work this Monday morning, along with councilors and technicians from both Administrations, and held a discussion on the main drawbacks associated with this important project , which has an investment of 2.7 million euros, of which the Rosariero Consistory contributes 800,000 euros.
Gil specified that “the works are currently being carried out between El Calvario and Zamorano streets, along a stretch of just over 200 meters that includes the construction of gravity walls up to 7 meters high, and stressed that The project, once it is finished, “will solve a real traffic black spot.”
The Island Councilor for Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, stated that “for the Cabildo it is a priority to improve mobility and safety conditions on the different highways of the island network.
The project of the complete reform of El Sol street contemplates the expansion and improvement of the TF-226 in its journey through the center of La Esperanza; the preparation of sidewalks and parking areas; improvement of supply, sanitation, drainage and public lighting facilities; the incorporation of the channeling of future electricity and telecommunications networks; horizontal and vertical road signs and the replacement of enclosing walls of the adjacent properties.
At the intersection between the TF-226 and La Fuente street, a roundabout with a lane six meters wide is planned.
