SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Crack, the fashion firm founded by the Canarian designer Giovanni Franco, is one of the nine candidate brands for the 22nd edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent, the contest that promotes recognition of emerging creativity and rewards the best collection among creators novelties that will parade on Sunday, September 17 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Giovanni Franco moved to Madrid eight years ago to graduate in design and fashion at ESNE and, later, take a master’s degree in Communication and Fashion at IED.

After training in the Davidelfín team and working as a stylist, in 2021 he created his own brand: Crack, a firm that conveys the pop aesthetic of the 2000s. His designs have dressed well-known faces from the world of fashion and music such as Nathy Peluso, Eleni Foureira, Natalia Lacunza, Villano Antillano, Sita Abellán and Jessica Goicoechea.

The collection that will be presented at Madrid fashion week is based on the concept of abandoning the hometown, on renouncing the comfort zone in search of an illusion through garments with dark tones, clinging to the body, which evoke that feeling. of uncertainty.

The brand selected by the jury will have the opportunity to walk the catwalk at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week and will join the trail of other big names in fashion such as Pepa Salazar, Ernesto Naranjo, Dominnico or Outsiders Division.
