Sumar’s candidate promises to “end” unpaid overtime and “stop abuse” in housing

LA LAGUNA (TENERIFE), 4 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Minister of Labor and Sumar candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, said this Tuesday that “winds of comeback” have blown in the last week and has claimed support for the coalition’s proposals against the “electoral ticket” of hate representing the PP and VOX candidates, Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Santiago Abascal.

At a rally held in the Plaza del Adelantado de La Laguna before more than 300 people accompanied by the head of the list for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Alberto Rodríguez, Díaz has insisted that Feijóo and his possible “vice president” are full of hate”.

He has indicated that he does not know his “country model” although both parties “already” know them because they have been “voting the same thing” for three and a half years, in the case of the labor reform, the revaluation of pensions and the rise of the SMI –in against– or they are to support the ERTE that saved many companies and workers during the pandemic.

“We know them very well, they are those of hate, those of no, we want to govern so that people’s lives are better,” he indicated.

Díaz has remarked that Feijóo and Abascal “hate” poor people, women and LGTBI people because “they are afraid of freedom” which is why they have asked to go vote on July 23 “in defense of freedoms, without fear, with enthusiasm and joy”.

“We are going to achieve it”, he stressed, while remarking that “there is a story that is not true” because when the GDP fell in the pandemic they said that Spain was going to “hit a monumental cake” and also that it was leaving to “destroy the economy” with the labor reform and the rise of the SMI.

“All false, the European Commission recognizes that we have saved the economy”, he highlighted, with Spain with almost 21 million employed and ending the “biblical curse” of temporary employment, which shows that when it comes to governments ” with conviction” it is possible to advance in rights.

He has insisted that this campaign “is about the future, about hope”, and for this reason he has promised to continue raising the minimum wage to converge with the European average and “reduce the working day without a salary reduction to leave jobs earlier, we want govern for that”.

In his opinion, “it is possible and essential to improve productivity”.

Díaz has also stressed that it is necessary to “address a pending challenge”, the right to housing and for this reason he has ironized by asking for “something revolutionary”, that articles 47 and 128 of the Constitution be applied, which include that all the wealth of the country must be subject to the general interest.

Along these lines, he has asked for a vote to “stop abuse in housing”, which is why he has lamented the PSOE’s “error” of not extending the limitation on rental price growth by 2% per year.

“People do not tremble, we know who we represent and rent is the main problem along with unemployment. 50% of people who live for rent are at risk of poverty and social exclusion, let this end once and for all” , has indicated.

STOP TALKING ABOUT POLITICIANS

He explained that in the electoral campaign the “life” of daughters and granddaughters is at stake, for which reason he has appealed for politics to “stop talking about politicians and talk about people’s problems” because what happens to politicians he “gives a damn”.

In this sense, he has stated that Sumar is the only formation “makes proposals” to “fix people’s problems” in front of other candidates who are known for “hate” and “insults.” “Sumar is the calm force that is going to govern to improve people’s lives,” he commented, appealing to his adversaries to say “what are they going to do” for the country, health, education, Artificial Intelligence, dependency , or foreign policy and human rights.

For this reason, he has urged to “defend decent work” in Spain, which is why he has promised to “end unpaid overtime” and structural unemployment. “We are going to converge with Europe, it is possible, and we are going to do it with rigor and solvency”, she pointed out.

He has also appealed to “put an end to the indecency of not being able to pay the rent” and to fight against climate change with a crash plan to air-condition schools and centers for the elderly.
