The Leoncio Rodríguez school will soon expand its dining room seats. This was indicated yesterday by the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil (IR-Greens), to the association of mothers and fathers of students. The Consistory of Rosario indicated in a press release that a commitment has been reached with the Ministry of Education for this improvement, which “will be done imminently, to affect as little as possible at the beginning of the course.”

The Minister of Education of the Canary Islands GovernmentManuela de Armas, communicated this decision to Gil on Wednesday afternoon, “thus settling the claim of fathers and mothers that the number of dining room caregivers be increased and, therefore, the number of places, since there were already a dozen students who had had to change schools as they had all the dining room seats occupied and were unable to avail themselves of this service».

Mayor Escolástico Gil valued the counselor’s “sensitivity” in resolving this problem. “Whenever I have been involved in some claim of the educational communities of El Rosario I have had the support of the counselor,” he said.
