The Canary Islands register 102 positives for coronavirus and four deaths

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Canary Islands have registered 102 new positive cases of coronavirus this Tuesday, which raises the total number since the pandemic began 92,883, according to the balance of data that the Ministry of Health updates every 24 hours.

The archipelago currently has 10,571 active cases (-1,398), of which 61 are in Intensive Care Units (-2) and 332 hospitalized on the ward (-24), once 1,496 people who had the Covid-19.

In addition, there have been another four deaths, two in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria, bringing the total number of deaths to 954.

By islands, Tenerife adds 49 new cases this Tuesday, which raises its accumulated to 44,624, with 6,144 active, and Gran Canaria 35 cases, which increases its accumulated to 35,532 cases, 4,121 of them active.

Lanzarote scores three new cases that bring their accumulated to 6,636, of which 52 are active, and Fuerteventura reports nine infections, so it rises to 4,154 infected and 227 active cases.

La Palma has three new positives, hence the accumulated amount rises to 1,087 and 15 assets, and El Hierro another three, so the accumulated increases to 451, plus six assets.

In La Gomera there have been no new cases, so they remain with 398 and six active.

The Accumulated Incidence (AI) continues to decrease, for 7 days it stands at 42.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and for 14 days it stands at 102.71 cases.

Until this Tuesday, a total of 2,034,775 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, with 5.96% positive samples, and 29,719 of them, in the last week (4.8% positive).
