Among the actions carried out are the repair of the perimeter fencing and the installation of a new polyamide mesh throughout the enclosure.
The City Council of La Laguna, through its Autonomous Sports Organisation (OAD), continues with the process of improving the sports facilities in the municipality and has recently completed various works for the conditioning and security reinforcement of the Andenes II sports hall.
Among the actions undertaken, a complete repair of the perimeter metal fencing has been carried out, including the replacement of bars that had deteriorated over time. Furthermore, the old polyamide mesh, which was in a generally worn state, has been removed and a new mesh installed around the perimeter.
As an additional safety measure, the fencing has been increased by an extra metre in height, in order to prevent any incidents from the sporting activities with the surroundings of this facility, thus responding to various requests from this area of the municipality.
The president of the local OAD, Badel Albelo, expresses his gratitude for “the collaboration of the users of these facilities during the development of these actions,” while reiterating “the commitment of the Council to the maintenance and improvement of the sports spaces in the municipality.” Finally, the municipal councillor adds that “all these actions aim to enhance safety and optimise the usage conditions for the public and sportspeople.”
Badel Albelo also announced that, following the completion of this phase, further adaptation work will be undertaken in this sports hall in the coming weeks, including the application of a new layer of paint on the metal fencing and the playing surface itself.
