Clinica Paule Wins AJE Canarias Award at Gala Celebrating Talent Across the Eight Islands

Clínica Paule, a project spearheaded by Miguel Paule, has been awarded the prestigious AJE Canarias Award. This accolade was presented during the seventh edition of the awards held at the Espacio Mutua Tinerfeña in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on Wednesday, 17 June. The gala brought together nearly 200 attendees, including 64 representatives from various institutions and businesses across the archipelago.

Recognition of Talent

“These awards demonstrate that companies are being built in the Canary Islands that can compete and set trends in any market. Recognising that talent is also our way of supporting those who follow,” stated María Delgado, President of AJE Canarias. Originally established as an aesthetic medicine clinic in Tenerife, Clínica Paule has evolved into a healthcare group in just over three years, being honoured for its excellence in care and its ability to create quality jobs from the islands.

Other Award Winners

  • Innovation Award: Study XR, an educational platform specialising in immersive technologies and extended reality.
  • Internationalisation Award: Gilberto “Tito” Machado, a Tenerife native now based in the United States and CEO of DUPR, the world’s leading classification system for pickleball.
  • Environmental Commitment Award: Ocean Oasis, a Canary Islands company that sustainably produces drinking water using wave energy.
  • Job Generation Award: David Rodríguez Pastelería, recognised for its growth model and the opening of new establishments.
  • Social Commitment Award: Nito Frutas y Verduras, which collaborates with local producers and distributes across all eight islands.
  • AJE Under 30 Award: DataGrowth, an artificial intelligence and data analytics consultancy founded by Elena Alcover and Pablo Ramos.
  • Cultural Award: “REF Canario, conoce tu REF,” a book by Samuel Cruz Palenzuela that provides insights into the Economic and Fiscal Regime of the Canary Islands.

Special Recognitions

In the realm of special recognitions:

  • Generational Relay Award: Quesería Rubicón, a historic family business from Lanzarote.
  • Strategic Alliances Award: Cumbre 8 consultancy.
  • Institutional Support Award: Alfonso Cabello Mesa, Vice-Counselor of the Presidency, spokesperson for the Government of the Canary Islands, and president of PROEXCA.

The seventh edition saw the participation of 64 representatives from the Government of the Canary Islands, island councils, municipalities, and public entities, alongside business organisations, chambers of commerce, and collaborating companies. AJE Canarias, a federation comprising AJE Tenerife, AJE Las Palmas, and AJE Under 30, reinforced its role as a key meeting point for young entrepreneurs in the islands.

Acknowledgments

“Behind an evening like this is a board and a dedicated team that has been working for weeks to ensure every detail is in place. I am very proud of the individuals who stand by me, as they are the ones making AJE an essential meeting point for Canary Islands entrepreneurs,” remarked Arianna Gassmann, President of AJE Tenerife.
