This talk will address the process currently underway in La Laguna to advance towards more sustainable agriculture, with special attention to improving soil health through the state of organic matter.
Local experiences will be highlighted, focusing on agroecological practices that enhance natural fertility. Agroecological practices based on ecological, social, economic, and cultural principles will be presented, promoting balanced systems, reducing external inputs, and strengthening producers’ capacities.
