Salvar La Tejita calls on the PSOE to investigate the mayor of Adeje for the management of Cuna del Alma.

The environmental platform Save La Tejita has sent a communication to the PSOE requesting an investigation into the management conducted by the mayor of Adeje in southern Tenerife, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, for his handling of the tourist development Cuna del Alma, which is being promoted near Puertito de Adeje.

The documentation has been sent to the new party Organisation Secretary, Rebeca Torró, to the Territorial Coordination Secretary, Anabel Mateos, to the Secretary of Transparency and Democratic Action, Borja Cabezón, and to the Secretary of Municipal Politics, Alejandro Soler.

It outlines alleged irregularities such as “corruption, abuse of power and negligence” in the performance of his duties in relation to the “shameful case” of Cuna Del Alma, although they also mention other cases in the municipality, such as Imegal, Monkey Beach and Taxi.

The association expresses its “optimism” regarding the recent statements by the Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, in which he shows his determination to “eliminate corruption from its ranks” and renew the government, hoping that the party will act “consistently” with his statements and initiate an investigation.

Additionally, they are requesting an independent audit of the building permit for the project, including environmental reports and from the Compensation Board of the municipality of Adeje.

Rodríguez Fraga has been mayor of Adeje since 1987.
