Registration Now Open for the Summer Digital Camp in Icod de los Vinos

Digital Camp, an initiative promoted by Fundación Cibervoluntarios, has already opened its registration period for the free in-person training it will offer this summer in Icod de los Vinos (Tenerife). It is a program for young people aged 14 to 17 that will take place from July 2 to 11.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the first day and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the remaining dates, the summer proposal focuses on digital skills, tailored to each age through specialized trainers, making a laptop or tablet essential for its development. Participants will learn to search for valuable information on the Internet, create digital content, browse safely, detect fake news, take care of their digital footprint, and prevent cyberbullying, among other skills.

The activity is organized in collaboration with the Icod de los Vinos City Council. All interested parties can register or request more information at the Atalaya building (avenida 25 de abril, 2º).

Digital Camp presents learning in a playful and interactive way, where participants will need to complete stages and missions to achieve goals. In each adventure, they will acquire new competencies to use the Internet and digital tools in a useful, creative, safe, and responsible manner.

At the end, the group of young people will receive a DigComp certificate accrediting the knowledge and skills acquired in the use of Information and Communication Technologies within the European framework.

Digital Camp is an initiative promoted by Fundación Cibervoluntarios within the Digital Skills for Children Program (CODI), launched by the Ministry of Youth and Children, financed by the European Union—Next Generation EU.
