Fifteen Years On: Prosecution Upholds Charges Against Plasencia in the Montaña de Taco Case

The Public Prosecutor’s Office maintains, 15 years after commencing investigations, its accusation against the former Town Planning Councillor at Santa Cruz de Tenerife Town Council, Norberto Plasencia (CC), the former Secretary of the Town Planning Department, Víctor Reyes, and the legal adviser of this area, Ana Toval, regarding the case of the alleged illegal extraction of aggregates in Montaña de Taco, following a neighbourhood platform’s complaint in 2010. The Public Prosecutor’s Office requested the commencement of oral proceedings in 2022, but the hearing was suspended then as well as yesterday.
