Dormitorum, the leading mattress brand in the Canary Islands and currently in a phase of national expansion, celebrated the opening of its new store located at Calle El Pilar 32, in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, yesterday. This event featured a promotional campaign that generated significant excitement, attracting large crowds long before the store’s doors opened.

The event was graced by the well-known actress and vedette, Bárbara Rey, who was joined by several other prominent figures from the archipelago, including Juan Espino, Ceci Wallace, and Alex Mercurio.

The inauguration, characterised by Dormitorum’s innovative and bold spirit, included delightful surprises for guests, such as a raffle for a Colossus Sport mattress and complimentary pillows for the first fifty attendees. Alongside these surprises, food and live music provided by a DJ added to the vibrant atmosphere.

Bárbara Rey, who starred in the latest bedroom campaign, was the highlight of the inauguration. In addition to engaging with attendees, she took time to speak with Canarian television, where she reminisced about her previous visits to the island with the circus and expressed her joy at being back. She displayed her sense of humour when asked about the Burl of the Sardine in Arafo, where she was depicted alongside the Emeritus King. “I love it, I want to keep this poster,” she laughed. “I can recognise myself; however, the representation below… is very impressive and youthful. I have never seen anything like it in this position. I am very attractive; he is not too bad either.”

The image of the Canarian brand, established by Alexis Amaya and recognised as a benchmark for rest in Spain, is firmly established in both the local and national markets, with rapid growth and increasingly robust presence throughout the country. The next phase involves opening new stores in Catalonia.

Sofas and armchairs

The new location, which was a resounding success as evidenced by the high turnout, is situated right next to an existing bedroom store, which has also received a warm welcome from the residents of Santa Cruz, according to the local company. It announced that, with the aim of enhancing the shopping experience and diversifying its offerings, it plans to renovate this space and transform it into a dedicated store for sofas, which will feature “the best quality, adhering to the same competitive pricing philosophy and the excellence in comfort that defines the brand.”

“This opening marks another step in our commitment to provide the best rest at the best price. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a pivotal location for us, and we are thrilled with the public’s response. With the new sofas and armchairs store, we aim to continue focusing on innovation and home comfort,” stated the management team.

With this dual investment in Santa Cruz, Dormitorum strengthens its leadership in the sleep sector and reaffirms its goal of introducing its innovative products to more regions across Spain.
