Santa Cruz de Tenerife will celebrate its inaugural carnival day this Sunday, weather permitting. From noon onwards, thousands will gather in the streets to partake in the first major daytime event of the Carnestolendas, featuring over fifty performers and carnival groups who will delight attendees with a scheduled programme.
Starting at 12:00, the programme will kick off with Neo Pinto on the main stage at Plaza de la Candelaria, continuing throughout the day with performances from Mekanika by Tamarindos, Moise González, the Dominican combo, the Guaracha orchestra, the Wamampy orchestra, and the Tasty orchestra, who will conclude the evening at midnight.
In the Prince’s Square, festivities will commence at 11:00 with a performance by Afilamonic or Fail, followed by the Fregolinos, as the local council announced in a statement.
After the performances by the Carnival groups, Latin Sound will take the stage at 13:30, followed in order by Macacos Sound Machine, Luis Deseda, Orchestra Maraury, and the Tejina Orchestra, which will wrap up the programme at 22:00.
Meanwhile, in Francisco La Roche, performances by the artists from the SER chain will begin at 14:00.
