The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has ruled that the Canarian Health Service (SCS) and an insurance provider must pay compensation totalling 352,500 euros to a mother from Tenerife, following the tragic deaths of her twin daughters due to a hospital-acquired infection after childbirth. The ruling asserts that the infants’ deaths could have been prevented had the infection control protocols been properly implemented.
