Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 28th January (Europa Press) –
A total of 354,898 individuals participated in various activities held at the Tenerife Fairgrounds in 2024, concluding the year with a record number of visitors in nearly three decades of operation.
This was underscored on Tuesday by the Council of Industry of the Cabildo and Vice President of the Fair Institution, Manuel Fernández, who emphasised that “the Tenerife Fairgrounds attracts the highest number of visitors from across the Canary Islands, establishing itself as a benchmark in the Archipelago,” noting that the year saw a 20% increase in public attendance, “amounting to nearly 60,000 additional visitors.”
Fernández asserted the “pivotal role that the Tenerife Fairground has assumed in recent years within Tenerife society, evolving into a vital resource for the industrial, economic, social, and recreational advancement of the island.”
Throughout 2024, the Fairgrounds accommodated a total of 48 events, concerts, fairs, and congresses, including innovative additions such as the ‘Renew Home’ commercial meetings and ‘Adimerket’ (3D printing), “enabling us to broaden the fair offerings for the entire community,” he pointed out.
Among the most attended events at the fairgrounds in 2024 were the Tenerife Playground and Youth (Pit), which attracted 58,000 visitors, along with the Carnival and the Gastronomic Hall of the Canary Islands.
Additionally, significant anticipation surrounded six major concerts and the Dial Awards Gala, which filled the main hall of the venue.
Manuel Fernández wished to acknowledge “the exceptional effort made by all staff at the Tenerife Fairgrounds in transforming it into a resource for businesses, enabling multiple simultaneous events across the various spaces available.”
Fernández concluded in a statement that “for 2025, the aim is to incorporate new fair products into the existing offerings to uphold Tenerife’s leadership in the Canary Islands Fairground sector.”
