SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The senator and secretary general of the Canary Islands Coalition (CC), Fernando Clavijo, has admitted this Wednesday a “great joy” after the filing of the ‘Reparos case’ by the Supreme Court since “common sense” has prevailed.

In a statement released by the nationalist formation, it has valued that the order recognizes that the objections were lifted to “guarantee” public services and that there are no “indications of crime”, as occurred with the ‘Crane case’.

Clavijo has also highlighted the “professionalism” of the officials of the La Laguna City Council who, “in times of difficulty” due to the financial crisis, acted in defense of the general interest to “save” “basic and essential” services such as supervised apartments for victims of gender violence, nursery schools or fuel for Local Police cars.

He has said that the case is the result of a “political complaint” by PSOE and Podemos, he has confessed that he is “very proud” of municipal officials and of having worked with them and has regretted the “damage” caused to family and friends.

He also thanked those who “always believed in the good work and honor” of the officials and the corporation for their support.
