Santa Cruz de Tenerife 26 Jan. (Europa Press) –
The Canary Islands PSOE has ratified this Sunday, in the context of the XV Regional Congress, hosted at the Magma Artes & Congresos de Adeje (Tenerife), its new Regional Executive Commission (CER), which includes the re-election of Nira Fierro as Organisation Secretary of the political group in the Archipelago and José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga as party president.
Delegates participating in this assembly have endorsed this new structure with 78% of votes in favour, from a total of 225 votes cast (175 in favour, 1 null, and 49 blank), as confirmed by the chairwoman of the XV Regional Congress of the Canary PSOE, Carolina Darias.
Consequently, in the new leadership, composed of 54 individuals representing the entire territorial and local framework of the party in the archipelago, Nira Fierro continues in her role as Organisation Secretary, with vice-secretaries Elena Máñez and Rosa Bella Cabrera among others, along with President José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga and Manuel Fumero, who is attached to the Organisation Ministry.
As for new appointments, Roberto García will assume the Secretariat of Strategic Coordination; Augusto Hidalgo will serve as Secretary of Insular Coordination, and Anselmo Pestana will lead the territorial coordination area, as stated by the Socialist Party in a release.
