SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The head of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, and the president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Salvador Illa, will convene this Friday in Tenerife for a bilateral discussion between the two communities as part of the Catalan president’s tour throughout all Spanish regions.
The meeting is set to commence at 12:00 p.m. within a political landscape impacted by the purported unique financing for Catalonia and the overhaul of the regional funding framework, the ratification of the decree-law regarding the allocation of unaccompanied migrant minors, and the standstill in Congress concerning the enhancement of pensions and complimentary public transport.
In the morning session, the Catalan president will feature in an information forum hosted by ‘Cadena Ser’ at 9:30 a.m., followed in the afternoon by a speech at the Canarian PSOE congress alongside the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the president of Congress, Francina Armengol.
