On the Day of the Three Kings, an American cargo vessel began exhibiting unusual movements between La Palma and Tenerife. After several days, it made its way towards Gran Canaria and, following a fresh series of disconnected manoeuvres, requested anchorage and supplies from the Port Authority of Las Palmas. This occurred on January 9, and a week later, the ‘Cape Texas’ had traversed part of Europe, ultimately positioning itself at a strategic location.
