Uncovering the Lost: The Canary Islands’ Quest for Franco’s Regime’s Victims

The Canary Islands continue to seek approximately one thousand individuals who went missing as a result of Franco’s repression. This comes in a year that marks the 5th anniversary of Franco’s passing, which occurred on November 20, 1975. The central government has organised a multitude of events, totalling around a hundred, scheduled throughout 2025 under the theme “Spain in Freedom.”
