SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The ‘European Outdoor Film Tour’, the largest mountain film festival in Europe, is set to commence its national journey on January 19 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, before moving on to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on the 26th.
As per the organisers, this serves as the inaugural stop on a Spanish tour that will encompass approximately twenty events across the country.
In this regard, the Guimerá Theatre in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host, for the first time in Spain, the new 2025 programme featuring six short films that blend adventure and sport in equal measure, showcasing Spanish protagonists—a historic first for the festival.
These include extreme blind climbing, a river rafting adventure on pallets, an exhilarating skateboard journey, and a cycling expedition that transforms lives, among other captivating tales arriving in the Tenerife capital on January 19 at 6:00 p.m., under the theme ‘Find your way’.
Thus, this will mark the beginning of a season that will traverse 27 countries worldwide through more than 550 events, attracting an audience of 350,000.
The festival transports its audience to the most untamed locations, scaling mountains to underscore nature as a vital habitat and a way of life, both of which are facing extinction threats.
Lastly, the organisation highlighted that this 2025, the ‘European Outdoor Film Tour’ aims to elevate its offerings to inspire adventurers and outdoor sports enthusiasts with extraordinary narratives, featuring remarkable protagonists and breathtaking landscapes that resonate with the Sustainable Development Goals.
