SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE Jan. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife, via the Social Action division, has processed the procurement of 21 additional vehicles in 2024 to enhance the fleet of the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care (IASS), at a cost of 1.2 million euros.
In July, the initial set of eight five-seater vehicles was received, followed by the collection of four nine-seater vehicles, as well as a refrigerated truck and another light truck on Tuesday, December 17.
Only two vehicles accommodating 17 to 22 passengers remain to be delivered, along with those designed for six passengers, as noted by the corporation.
The Minister of Social Action, Águeda Fumero, emphasises that this approach “significantly enhances public service, given that the fleet was entirely outdated and required modernisation.”
Fumero further comments that it represents “a considerable financial commitment, reflecting our dedication to investing in direct management centres and also improving the working conditions for the staff of the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care.”
