The Tenerife tram will maintain Line 1 in full operation on the evening of Tuesday, December 31, New Year’s Eve until Wednesday, January 1, the New Year, with intervals of 15 and 20 minutes.

From 11:00 p.m., trams will conclude their service at the Guimerá Theater stop in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This decision has been made to avoid traversing the areas surrounding Plaza de España and the Church of La Concepción, where festivities are taking place.

Tram Timetables on New Year’s Eve

On Tuesday, the 31st, Line 1 will operate with a frequency of 6 minutes during peak hours, which are from 07:00 to 15:00. Subsequently, the intervals will adjust to 7.5 minutes and then extend to 10 minutes until 9:00 p.m. After that, the tram services will shift to every 15 and 20 minutes during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Furthermore, the night service on Line 1 will have its route shortened to Teatro Guimerá to prevent interference with the celebratory events held at Plaza de España and the Church of La Concepción. Consequently, from 11:00 p.m., this will be the final stop for Line 1 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, while the stops at Fundación and Intercambiador will be out of service.

For Line 2, the frequencies on Tuesday the 31st will be set at 12, 15, and 20 minutes until service ceases at midnight (00:00 hours).

Tram Timetables on New Year’s Day

Trams on Line 1 will be operational throughout the early hours of Wednesday, January 1. It is anticipated that full service will resume along the entire route by 9:40 a.m. that day, thereby reintroducing the stops at Fundación and Intercambiador in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The service frequencies on this day will follow the typical holiday schedule, namely, 12, 15, and 30 minutes, depending on the specific time frame.

It is worth noting that services may be affected by the strikes conducted by the company’s employees from Monday to Friday, during early mornings, midday, and night. During these times, Metrotenerife will guarantee the operation of lines 1 and 2 with a minimum service level of 80%.

Bus Timetables

Titsa will maintain its night service for urban and interurban lines as per standard during New Year’s Eve.

On January 1, the company will commence the first morning routes starting from 8:10 a.m.

In this respect, the urban and interurban lines, including 014, 015, 050, 101, 104, 352, 353, 363, 390, 420, 467, 473, 711, 971, 972, and 974 will uphold their regular holiday schedules from December 31 to January 1.

Additionally, the aeroexpress 20 will operate from the capital Interchange at 10:35 p.m., 11:00 p.m., 11:35 p.m., and 12:15 a.m. For travel to the southern airport, users can rely on line 711 at its regular schedule.

Route 014 will have departures from the capital at 00:05, 01:20, 03:00, and 05:00, while in the opposite direction, departures will take place at 23:40, 00:55, 02:35, and 04:35 hours.

Line 711, connecting Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Aeropuerto del Sur, Los Cristianos, and Costa Adeje, will depart at 22:30, 23:10, 23:45, 00:15, 01:20, 02:30, and 04:00 hours. Scheduled returns to the capital will occur at 22:00, 23:05, 00:00, 00:20, 01:00, 02:00, 03:00, 03:55, and 05:55 hours from Costa Adeje.

The 104, serving the route between the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange and Puerto de la Cruz, will see departures heading north at 22:55, 00:10, 01:00 (from La Laguna), 02:35, and 03:30 hours. Departures from Puerto de la Cruz will occur at 00:00, 01:30, 02:25, 04:40, and 05:25 hours.

Line 974, linking the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange with Taco, Santa María del Mar, Añaza, and back, will follow its typical night route with departures at 22:20, 22:50, 00:00, 01:40, 03:00, and 04:25.

Meanwhile, line 971, which operates between the Intercambiador and Ofra through Barrio de la Salud, will have five departures scheduled for 00:00, 01:00, 03:00, 04:00, and 05:00. Returns will occur at 00:30, 01:30, 03:30, 04:30, and 05:25 hours.

Finally, route 972, departing from the Intercambiador towards Barrio de La Salud via Cuesta Piedra, will have two departures at 11:05 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., with returns at 11:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
