SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE December 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Civil Guard has reported two individuals who were apprehended driving their vehicle on roads and trails within the Teide National Park, which is currently inaccessible due to the presence of ice and snow.
The TF-21, linking La Orotava with the National Park, remains closed between kilometre markers 16 (Aguamansa) and 43 (Cable Car Base Station). Although the section from the south to the cable car has been cleared, hazardous conditions in other areas prevent complete reopening.
Moreover, the TF-24, which ascends from Las Lagunetas, is also closed between kilometre markers 24 and 43 (junction with the TF-21 at El Portillo).
The Highway Service worked diligently on Sunday to remove accumulated snow and clear landslides on the impacted roads. The weather forecast for the coming hours, which predicts further rainfall and potential accumulations overnight, necessitates the continuation of access restrictions.
