SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 20 December (EUROPA PRESS) –
Journalist Miguel Ángel Daswani has signed with Radio Club Tenerife to host the morning shows beginning on 7 January, taking over from Juan Carlos Castañeda, who has retired following a “remarkable career” in broadcasting.
Daswani, as reported by Cadena Ser in a statement, boasts a “lengthy and comprehensive” background in print and audiovisual media, having been associated with Radio Televisión Canaria for the past 17 years, where he held the position of news director, editor, and presenter of Telenoticias and special reports for a decade. Prior to that, he was the editor and presenter of TVE’s Telecanarias in the Canary Islands.
Hence, Miguel Ángel Daswani is regarded as “not only a recognised face and voice” among the island’s residents but also as a journalist who has a profound understanding of the political and social landscape of the Canary Islands, having worked in regional media for over 20 years, while maintaining an “unwavering” commitment to accuracy and diversity in reporting.
With Daswani’s addition, SER in the Canary Islands enhances its Information Services and Programs team, which is led by journalist Marta Cantero.
