A canoe carrying 74 migrants, including one minor, was rescued on Tuesday in the waters south of El Hierro by the Salvamar Adhara, according to sources from Maritime Rescue.
The vessel was spotted approximately 45 miles southeast of the island following a call to emergency services made by one of the individuals on board, and the migrants were safely disembarked at La Restinga port, appearing to be in good health.
This marks the second cayuco to arrive at the island on Tuesday, following another one earlier in the day that brought 75 individuals, of which 52 were of Pakistani descent.
