This weekend, Storm Dorothea made its presence felt in the Canary Islands, bringing with it hurricane-strength wind gusts that have resulted in significant damage, particularly in the western isles. La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, and Tenerife have all been placed on maximum alert due to the severe winds, with some islands classified under red warning conditions. In certain areas of Tenerife, wind gusts exceeding 200 km/h have been recorded.
