SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5th December (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canarian Parliament has resolved this Thursday to support the ‘From Valencia to Valencia’ initiative, which fosters the gathering of financial assistance for individuals impacted by DANA in the Valencian community across the two provinces of the Canary Islands.
“As a governmental body, it is our responsibility to respond to a situation like that faced by the people of Valencia following the DANA on 29th October. Numerous families are suffering, and we want the Canary Islands to convey our solidarity and support,” stated the president, Astrid Pérez.
The charitable initiative is coordinated by the Efca Family Business Association for the NGO Moms in Action and will feature two fundraising events in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, for which the Parliamentary Board has decided to participate by purchasing tickets in row 0.
The donations collected will be allocated to the recovery of affected areas, with a particular focus on the self-employed, businesses, and local enterprises, thereby encouraging economic revitalisation.
