A blaze in an unoccupied plot within the municipality of Adeje, located in southern Tenerife, has scorched a section of vegetation, as stated by the 1-1-2 Canarias on its social media platforms.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium were deployed to the location to extinguish the flames, accompanied by the Civil Guard and the Adeje Local Police.
The Canary Islands has been under a forest fire risk alert across Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro, La Palma, and Gran Canaria since August 17. This decision was made based on the information available and in accordance with the INFOCA Plan.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands Government (CECOES) reminds the public to call 1-1-2 at the first indication of a fire.
