Civil Guard officers have apprehended two individuals, aged 69 and 48, who were caught by a homeowner in Güímar, Tenerife, as they attempted to abscond with various stolen items from his residence.
The homeowner alerted the Civil Guard after detaining the two suspects outside the property. The perpetrators had unlawfully entered the house by breaking the access lock, as reported by sources from the law enforcement agency.
Concerned neighbours had informed the homeowner that two individuals had entered his premises in his absence.
Upon the arrival of the officers at the scene, they found the suspects seated, compliant, and encircled by the homeowner and four of his relatives.
Following the verification that a theft had occurred and that the recovered items belonged to the homeowner, the suspects were taken into custody.
The arrested individuals, along with the necessary legal procedures, have been handed over to the Güímar Court of Inquiry.
