The City Council in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has announced to motorists that starting from Monday, 12th August, until Wednesday 14th, only the left lane of Avenida de la Asunción, passing through the Viera y Clavijo Cultural Park, will be operational. This is due to the installation of a tarpaulin on the perimeter fence of ongoing works in the area, resulting in the right lane of the road being occupied.
The Council has scheduled the works to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the left lane remaining open at all times to ensure a minimum width of 3 metres for traffic flow. Appropriate signage will be in place to manage traffic and ensure the safety of pedestrians and drivers.
Motorists are advised by the City Council to consider alternative routes during these days to avoid congestion if they usually travel through this city access road. They are also urged to follow the guidance provided on the signs and by security staff who will be present around the road perimeter throughout the works.
