The Civil Guard in Hermigua Post, located on La Gomera island, has apprehended a man in the Agulo municipality on charges of drug trafficking, a crime against public health. Agents discovered ongoing drug transactions in Agulo and promptly devised a plan to disrupt them. Through surveillance and investigative measures, they caught the suspect in the act of preparing to distribute multiple grams of cocaine to a local resident. The subsequent search of his vehicle and possessions, along with a cursory pat-down, revealed 18 grams of cocaine segmented into 13 bags. The detainee was also found in possession of 1,246 Euros in varied denominations, drug paraphernalia, and various utensils for drug consumption. Following the arrest, the individual, along with the seized items, was handed over to the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 in San Sebastián de La Gomera.
