The University of La Laguna (ULL) will be closing its facilities and services from 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on August 26, as stated by the educational institution.
During this period, administrative offices, facilities, and services will not be accessible to the public, except for specific cases like laboratories requiring supervision for experiments.
The Rectorate issued a resolution in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands on February 3, declaring non-working days affecting scheduled closures for the year. However, this resolution does not impact the time limits for administrative appeals or claims before judicial proceedings against the institution’s acts, nor the calculation of judicial deadlines.
While the Electronic Office, institutional website, and email system will remain active, any requests made through these platforms will be on hold until the reopening on August 26.
The administrative functions of the University of La Laguna will resume on Monday, August 26. From the following day until the 30th of the same month, the period for submission of applications for extraordinary pre-registration in degree courses with available vacancies after regular pre-registration will be open. The list of vacancies is already published on the institutional website, featuring 23 degree programmes.
For those interested in official master’s degrees, applications for extraordinary pre-registration in the remaining 35 degree programmes can be submitted between August 28 and September 4.
The official opening ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 will be held in the Auditorium on Friday, September 13. Classes for the first semester will commence on Monday, September 16, continuing until December 20. The first exam period is scheduled between January 8 and 18.
The second semester is planned to run from January 27 to May 9, 2024.
