On the 4th of August in SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, a man aged 35 was involved in a car accident this morning on the Northern Highway (TF-5) in La Laguna municipality. This was confirmed by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place around 2:20 a.m. when the operations room of 1-1-2 received a notification about a vehicle overturning with a person trapped inside. Emergency services were promptly activated.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Tenerife Fire Brigade Consortium, Traffic Civil Guard officers, and personnel from the Cabildo’s Road Maintenance Service all responded to the scene.
Firefighters extricated the victim and secured the crashed vehicle. The injured person received medical attention from SUC staff and was taken to Hospital Universitario de Canarias with a moderate chest injury, pending any complications.
