A 52-year-old gentleman has encountered moderate injuries in a fire that broke out at his residence in La Laguna (Tenerife), as reported by the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place at 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday in a dwelling situated on the second story of a building on Calle Osa Menor. Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium swiftly arrived to extract the individual from his property and proceeded to quench the flames.
Subsequently, the man received aid from personnel of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), who verified that he had sustained moderate smoke inhalation, prompting his transfer via medical ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
Local Police and National Police officers were also present at the site of the incident; they supported the responding units and carried out necessary procedures.
