The Emergency Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands, 1-1-2, has issued a warning this Sunday afternoon about a stubble fire that has erupted on a piece of land in the Tenerife municipality of El Rosario.
Specifically, the fire broke out on Nateros Street in La Esperanza.
Firefighters from Tenerife are currently responding at the scene.
It’s important to note that the Cabildo of Tenerife has Prohibited smoking in natural areas on the island due to high temperatures and the risk of forest fires as reported by the president of the island council, Rosa Dávila.
Dávila, through social media, highlighted that this smoking ban has been activated for the first time, encompassing trails, viewpoints, forest paths, recreation areas, and camping sites.
