SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26th June (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Education department of the Tenerife Island Government is set to introduce its curriculum support initiatives to 250 educational centres in the upcoming school year of 2024-2025.
The curriculum support initiatives are categorised into four main areas of expertise: Technological Advancements and Internet Security; Environmental Sustainability and Mobility; Literary and Cultural Development, Mathematics and Science; and Social Harmony alongside educational innovation.
Educational centres can enrol for the 34 educational support schemes provided by ‘Tenerife Young and Educated’ for the next academic session, targeting students from Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Vocational Training, families, and educators.
The application window will be open from 16th September to 6th October this year.
Throughout this period, each educational institution will submit a single application including all desired projects in order of preference. Starting from 15th October, a maximum of 5 projects per centre will be allocated, as stated by the Tenerife Island Government.
Minister of Employment and Education, Efraín Medina, emphasises the diverse range of the 34 schemes “with 12 diverse topics to cater to the varied requirements of educational centres across the island.”
In this context, Medina highlighted initiatives such as ‘Safer Internet’, the Tenerife Island Reading Advancement Scheme (Pialte), the Island School Gardens Network, or the ‘Stay’ strategy to combat truancy.
Furthermore, within the curriculum support initiatives relating to technology and safe internet usage, there are programmes such as Positive Navigation, Safe Internet, and Computational Thinking.
Likewise, the initiatives associated with sustainability and mobility include School Gardens, Ingenia, and Road Education.
Detailed information about each project is available in the link drop-down menus. Educational centres can access the content description, schedule, formats, and curriculum relevance of each initiative on the following link: www.tenerifejovenyeduca.com, which must be reviewed before submitting the application.
